Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Natron is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to support the upgrade and ramp up of its battery cell pilot line in Santa Clara. Critical activities include process development, yield improvement, troubleshooting, introducing and qualifying new processes and equipment, determining robust operating conditions for all processes to facilitate transfer to contract manufacturers, and assisting contract manufactures with absorbing Natron processes. Key process steps include precision punching of electrodes, ultrasonic welding, pouch forming, vacuum sealing, electrolyte dispensing, and implementation of automated data collection for manufacturing execution and quality monitoring. The person for this position is capable of executing complex process engineering projects involving designed experiments, Taguchi robust optimization methods, and six-sigma techniques for process development and improvement.

Production Control Manager

Natron seeks a Production Control Manager to lead the establishment and ongoing operation of its enterprise resource planning, production control, and logistics functions within its pilot operations in Santa Clara and with its contract manufacturers around the world. The Production Control Manager will manage the supply chain by working closely with internal pilot operations, contract manufacturers, product development and sales teams to plan and schedule production runs to meet customer orders and pilot runs to serve product development objectives.

Applications Engineer

Natron is looking for a self-starting, talented Applications Engineer with experience in battery and uninterruptable power systems (UPS).  Customers are rapidly integrating Natron’s batteries into their products, and need guidance and support to identify optimal specifications for their applications.  As a member of the Products Team, this role will have a close connection with Business Development and Sales, working with both customers and internal resources to get products into the field.  The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience working as an applications engineer in battery systems.

Embedded Systems Engineer

Natron is seeking an Embedded Systems Engineer to assist with the design and development of scalable low and high voltage battery management, control, and power protection systems.The occupant of this position will work in a small team of product engineers to solve challenges associated with our battery products.  They will execute complex engineering projects from initial prototyping to manufacturing.  They will design, build, test, validate, and troubleshoot circuit board designs, develop firmware and communication protocols, and assist in the systems integration of battery modules and components.

Senior R&D Technician (Electro-Mechanical)

Natron is seeking a Senior R&D Technician to assist in the assembly of battery cells, modules, and packs. The senior technician will have significant prior experience working with batteries, power electronics, and/or other electro-mechanical systems. Further experience working with electronics and chemistry or materials in a laboratory environment is preferred. The person for this position has a positive, team-first attitude, carefully follows instructions and SOPs, is meticulous and detail oriented, and is willing to learn and master new skills. The person will be working in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Battery Manufacturing Technician

Natron is seeking a Battery Manufacturing Technician to prepare battery electrodes and other cell components, assemble battery cells, operate pilot equipment, perform measurements on materials, electrodes, and cells, and record measurement test data. This is a hands-on position involving lab work including working in a glove box. Qualified applicants will have prior industrial experience as a R&D or process technician and/or hands on experience working in a chemistry laboratory, materials laboratory or battery assembly operation. Project Manager

Natron is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Natron’s CEC-funded project to deploy battery systems at a public fast charge station on the UCSD campus. This person will work with Natron’s engineering and product teams to specify project deliverables, manage EPC design and execution, and work closely with our EV partner and UCSD site staff. The Project Manager will be responsible for all reporting to the CEC, including invoicing for re-imbursement and payment of subcontractors.
