Vice President, Business Development

Natron seeks a Vice President of Business Development to lead market entry strategy, product definition, and the engagement of prospective customers and strategic partners. Together with the CEO, this Executive will lead the company forward in each of these areas.

The person for this position is a creative, self-motivated problem solver with a track record for successfully building high impact relationships, defining unique value propositions, and making company-defining strategic decisions. Qualified candidates have successfully led the establishment of commercial and/or strategic relationships such as joint development agreements and pilot programs leading to first sales for a hardware product in the data center, telecom, microgrid, or EV charging space. He or she will act as one of the company’s primary public representatives in interactions with prospective commercial and strategic partners and at industry events.

Data Scientist

Natron seeks a data scientist to lead and assist projects for the development of data management, analysis, and visualization tools for data sets generated from designed experiments, containing electrochemical and physical data of battery materials, components, cells, modules and packs. The person in this position will work in a small team of engineers that is responsible for the collection, management, analysis, and distribution of all of the battery test data Natron generates. This person will lead the development and maintenance of existing data-analysis codebases (python, MATLAB, etc.) and database systems (SQL). They will apply statistical tools to build predictive models, which will inform battery design, production, and quality. Qualified candidates have prior industrial or significant prior academic experience writing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scaleable code systems, as well as initial set up, configuration, and maintenance of database software and hardware. Candidates should be comfortable performing infrequent, hands-on lab work related to battery testing. Senior Process Chemist

Natron seeks a Senior Process Chemist to assist with the scale-up of its anode and cathode synthesis processes from lab scale to full production scale at contract manufacturers. The person in this position will act as the bridge between Natron’s internal materials development team and manufacturing partners for the production of the active electrode materials used in Natron’s batteries. Once full-scale partners are established, this person will work closely with manufacturing partners to provide technical guidance for securing and maintaining a steady supply of anode and cathode materials, including ongoing quality improvement and cost reduction. Qualified candidates have prior hands-on lab experience with bench- scale and pilot scale synthesis of fine chemical compounds, as well as fine chemical synthesis at full production scale. Program Manager

Natron seeks a Program Manager to lead the New Product Introduction (NPI) process for fully integrated battery systems, based Natron’s proprietary cell technology. The Program Manager will work closely with, and coordinate activities of, Marketing, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing. Activities to be coordinated include leading the definition of new products in customer terms, translation of applicable industry standards and customer requirements into product specifications, development and management of program schedules to meet customer delivery targets and company goals, and coordination of project teams to meet specifications and timelines. Strong candidates have prior program management experience in the field of batteries or other electronic hardware systems resulting in >1 million units shipped. Process Chemistry Research Associate

Natron seeks a Process Chemistry Research Associate to assist the development and production of active materials used in its batteries. Under limited supervision, the candidate will work in a small team to execute the preparation and manufacturing of R&D, Kilo-Lab and eventually pilot scale runs of Prussian blue electrode materials.

Battery Engineer

Natron seeks a battery engineer to assist in the testing and analysis of battery cells, modules and packs. The occupant of this position will work in a small team of engineers to execute the testing of all batteries built by Natron, in order to deliver the data necessary to reach battery R&D, engineering, and product development milestones. These projects may focus on the development of new battery electrodes, improvement of battery cell design, enhancement of battery performance under use and abuse conditions, and other engineering goals. Qualified applicants will have prior hands on lab experience, preferably including electronic hardware device characterization and testing.
